For a limited time if you join the Facebook group "Ticketmaster Live" (search for it on Facebook) they'll give you 5 free itunes song credits. You can quit the group after you get the credits. Anyway, I used my song credits to download the new Bird And The Bee EP, Please Clap Your Hands in iTunes Plus format. I seem to have been distracted by my recent travel and the release date just slipped by me!
"Polite Dance Song" has been streaming on their myspace for awhile now, won't you check it out now in mp3 form? There's also a fun cover of "How Deep Is Your Love" by the Bee Gees...

So I purchased a lovely copy of The Bird And The Bee's debut cd, only to find that I was unable to rip it to mp3s so that I could listen to it on my iPod. EMI, why are you doing this? You know people don't walk around with CD players anymore, right? Especially the target demographic for the bands on your BlueNote label. I don't want to buy a digital copy from the iTunes store on top of the cd I've already purchased. Otherwise, how can I listen to this on my iPod?
Anyone have any suggestions?
In other news, we have a new track from one of LSF's honorable mention EP artists, The Morning Benders. Churning up a new EP to be released soon...

Yes, the Shins dropped their new album earlier this week. Also of note is another jem, The Bird And The Bee's self-titled debut! The Bird And The Bee describes themselves as "a futuristic 1960's American film set in Brazil". For the most part I have to agree. It's electro-samba creepiness to the max. Sort of like a moodier doppelganger of The Postmarks. Check out lead single "Again & Again"!
BONUS: Don't forget about Let's Sexy Fighting's #6 remix of 2006, Peaches' remix of "Fucking Boyfriend".
