While trekking across the US on their current tour, Tokyo Police Club managed to sign a deal with Saddle Creek Records. No word on when exactly the album will drop, but an educated guess would be early next year. In the meantime, there's always some more B-sides...

I'm running off on a business trip for a couple weeks, posting might be ever so slightly less frequent as I hop around internationally. For starters, check out the Trey Told Em remix of "Cheer It On" by Tokyo Police Club. Trey Told Em is the new remix project by Girl Talk's Gregg Gillis. In typical Girl Talk fashion, we have lots of samples flittering in and out - but the new thing is that it's not as ADD! I love playing Girl Talk for my co-workers so they can say (with some slight sarcasm) "Wow, it's like all my favortie songs crammed into 3 minutes!"

Tokyo Police Club's got a new digital EP out this week on iTunes and eMusic. Still as spastic as ever, it mainly comprises of B-sides from the singles and a new song. Ok guys, when's the full length come out? Not that I mind personally (or artistically), but who wants to take bets on it topping 30 minutes?

I've been putting off doing these year end wrap-ups simply because I knew it was going to be tough. I've probably listened to more new artists this year than any other year in my life.
