I've been recently enjoying the power pop stylings of Surfer Blood. Part Weezer, part Dodos, and part Shins, it's the music of a good time being had. Their debut Astro Coast is due out January 19th.

Yeasayer has a new album coming out on February 9, 2010 entitled, Odd Blood. They recently released the first single from the album, a track called "Ambling Alp". As a bonus, Memory Tapes has already taken a crack at remixing it!

Today marks the release of the first solo album from Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas! The album is called Phrazes for the Young and has a broad musical sound, encompassing Strokes-lite to 80s to R&B. First single "11th Dimension" sounds like Julian's trademark deadpan singing over very 80s synths...
